Make your first Syn-Waves project.

The red playhead marks the current time and where an edit will happen.

• Swipe horizontally to move through the project.
• Pinch to zoom around the playhead. At close zoom, faint grid lines show precise times.
• Move a clip or trim handle slowly near a grid line to align it. Use Snap to Grid in the bottom tools to turn magnetic alignment on or off.
• Tap a clip to select it and reveal trim handles. Drag a handle to change its start or end.
• Touch and hold a clip, then drag to move it along its track.

Use the transport bar above the timeline.

• Use the center control to play or pause.
• Use the outer controls to jump to the start or end.
• Open fullscreen to focus on the visualizer.
• Use Undo and Redo after editing.

Open Record from the bottom bar, then choose how the take should be placed.

• Find Free Track uses the first track with enough room and creates one if needed.
• Overwrite records on the selected track and replaces overlapping audio.
• Replace Clip starts at a selected clip and replaces it.
• Tap Record to begin and Stop to finish. Watch the meter for input level.

Tap a clip to show its editing controls in the bottom bar.

• Split cuts the selected clip at the playhead.
• Tap Remove to delete a clip. When offered, Delete leaves space and Snap Delete also shifts later clips left.
• Align trims a clip edge at the playhead. Snap options can also close the new gap.
• Move sends a clip to the track above or below.
• Copy stores a clip; Paste places it using the selected insert mode.
• Insert and Paste can find space, overwrite audio, or shift later clips.

Select a track before recording or inserting audio.

• Open Mixer from the transport bar, or touch and hold Waves and choose Mixer. Tap Mixer again to return to Waves.
• Mixer shows each track's volume, meter, Mute, Solo, selection, and Enhance controls.
• Use Close Gaps to pack clips together. Choose the current gap, gaps up to or from the playhead, or all gaps.
• Use Add Track at the bottom of the track list when you need another layer.

• Edits save automatically; Save writes them immediately. Notes save with the project.
• In Export Mix, choose the mix source, format, sample rate, and mono or stereo output.
• Standard M4A export without Voice Enhance processing is free. Lossless WAV/AIFF and 96 kHz export require Syn-Waves Pro.
• Touch and hold Export to repeat the last export settings.

• Tap Waves to cycle visualizations; touch and hold it to choose one or open Mixer.
• Touch and hold a clip, then drag to move it.
• Pinch the timeline to zoom around the playhead.
• Touch and hold Export to repeat your most recent export settings.

Projects are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling Syn-Waves deletes them, so keep a copy of any finished audio you need.

You can create up to three projects, record and edit audio, and export standard M4A without Voice Enhance processing. Syn-Waves Pro adds unlimited projects and lets you export audio with Voice Enhance processing, in lossless WAV/AIFF, or at 96 kHz.
