Introducing Quick Edit mode for easy editing!
Start with Quick Edit to cut and combine clips, choose Post Process to refine one video, or use Full Editor for all your creative power-tools.
Adding and replacing clips is easier with the new picker!
Browse media in the new picker, preview and reorder your selections, and trim a video before replacing a clip.
You can now find the beats in your music with one tap!
Select an audio clip and tap Detect Beats to add beat markers to your timeline. (Pro)

You can now turn camera recordings directly into editable projects!
Use the new camera film strip to preview and arrange clips before editing.
You can now share photos and videos from Photos directly into Syn-FX projects!
Open Photos, select a photo or video, tap Share, then choose Syn-FX to add it to a project.
New long-press shortcuts make it faster to start recording and editing.
Long press on the app icon to start recording right away.

The Syn-FX camera is now available in editor projects!
Open the editor camera to record new footage without leaving your project, using all your favorite presets.
You can now add backgrounds behind your video clips!
Open the Track Background controls to add a backplate, choose a background color, and create smooth fade to color dissolves at the beginning or end of clips.
Effects applied to people can now extend beyond their silhouette!
Use the Alpha Expansion settings to control how far the effect extends. Try it with Pixel Stretch on a character with the background removed.
You can now generate captions that move with your video! (iOS 26+)
Open Captions to generate captions with word timing, animated styles, and highlight options.
You can now record audio directly on the project timeline!
Tap the Record button while your project is playing to add synced audio clips with waveform previews and separate audio tracks.
You can now make your audio sound even better with Audio Enhance!
Open Audio Enhance to try voice enhancement, EQ, compression, limiting, and audio presets.

Tap a clip, then hit Adjust to open the new adjustment pipeline with curves, HSL, exposure and more.
Shape each clip with a richer set of color and tonal controls right on the timeline.
Use keyframes to animate adjustment parameters and curves over time!
50+ preset looks with pre-built color and tone settings
Tap the Looks button in the main bar to browse 50+ preset looks.
Try new looks like Sunlit Cream, Golden Hour, Velvet Rose, Grit, and Neon Prism.
Quickly apply filmic grades, color moods, and stylized finishes with one tap.
50+ new FX and animated effects like camera shake and pixel stretch!

Introducing FX blend modes and crossfades!
Open an FX clip, tap Adjust, then switch to Blending to choose a blend mode and set opacity.
We added popular new blend modes like Screen, Multiply, Color Dodge, Hue, and Color.
Keyframed FX can also crossfade blend mode changes for smoother animated looks.

Introducing Shape Masks + Keyframes!
Tap the Mask menu on a clip to add shape masks.
Animate your masks with keyframes to control how they appear.
Matte Painting is now in Remove BG.
Open the Paint tab to brush painted strokes and adjust BG removal.
Image editing is here.
Import images into video tracks and they will automatically convert into video clips.
Version 4.2
Introducing BG Removal & Per-clip FX timelines!!
Tap any clip and open Effects to edit that clip's own effect stack directly on the timeline.
Syn-FX now let's you seperate persons and foreground objects in videos.
Tap a video clip and choose Remove BG to turn it on.
Use Matte Only, Invert Mask, Softness, and Feather to shape the matte.
Use the Outline tab to add outlines to the person.
Combine these two features to seperate persons and apply unique FX to FG and BG layers.
Version 4.0
Introducing Syn-FX 4.0!!! This is our biggest update yet.
Now featuring a full multi-track compositor with video, audio, text, and FX layers.
Interleave video, FX, and text tracks with overlays and alpha blending.
Arranged tracks are processed in top-down order.
Audio tracks and sound editing.
Add your own music files and arrange them on the timeline.
Edit audio clips and fade them in and out.
Text rendering and effects.
Add text to your video and style it as you please.
Use the fade buttons to fade text in and out.
Video transitions and 50+ transition effects!
Tap the hourglass between clips to create or edit a transition.
Transition effects blend between adjacent clips.
Video keyframes to animate video properties.
Video properties like zoom, rotation, and opacity can now be animated with video keyframes.
Tap a clip and choose Adjust Key to edit a keyframe.
Once a keyframe is added, transform gestures apply to the key as well.

Tap on a video clip and scroll right in the control bar to access Time Effects.
Introducing Video Slip functionality and a dedicated Video Trim tool.
Tap on a video clip and use the Trim or Slip button to adjust sections.
